Sounds odd I know but I'm interested in languages and such and wish to incorporate it into a career. I know about linguistics but I'm trying to find a career that is based around language, travel and that has opportunity. Meanwhile I'm trying to get an internship but I can't decide which field to enter. Either linguistics, international relations, or language? However I doubt that I could do international relations because of where I live...

I hope something I said made sense.

The FBI has a lot of jobs in that vein, as well as the US Army. Check out http://www.dliflc.edu/ for more information about the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center.

There's also a career in Teaching ESL, which will offer you lots of exposure to other languages while teaching English.

Try the US Army. The Army operates it's own language school. You get paid while going through basic and advanced training. You will get assigned duty stations where your specialty will be used.
The Army has it's own aptitude test. If you don't pass, you don't get into the school.
