First thing you need to do is COMPLETELY remove iTunes, iPod and Quiktime from your computer. Do this by going to controll panel, then Add/Remove programs. Remove EVERYTHING that says iPod (iPod for windows, iPod set-up, etc), then remove Quiktime, then remove iTunes. (Dont worry you wont lose your music, its stored on your harddrive). THEN RESTART YOUR COMPUTER!! (that is very important for removing all components of programs). Once that is all done, turn the computer back on and go online to apple.com/itunes/download and click on the free download. (hit run when it asks to run or save). From there- its pretty easy.

delve into your computer and search/find everything quicktime and itunes, look in programme files, add/remove programmes, common files in 'c' etc.. ..
use 'search' to find anything then delete them all, re install itunes.
