Denzel Washington and Meryl Streep are example of great actors, whom have been awarded not for their best performance. Don't you think Denzel Washington gave much more of his interpretation, on the movies Glory, John Q, Men on Fire than the one that gave him the Oscar? What about Meryl Streep? Did you feel touch by her interpretation on "The Devil Wears Prada"?

they dont get an award for their best performance ever. just whoever gave the best performance that year.
