When there are no changes n oxidation numbers, you just have to use brute force. Keep on with trial and error, seeking some relationships that will let you put equal numbers of the same atoms on the two sides.

Where oxidation and reduction go on, you can use two methods. One is to count the electrons lost and gained going from the left to the right side. That will usually give you four good numbers, and the rest may fall out. The second way is two write two balanced half-reactions, one for the oxidation and the other for the reduction. Then add the two half-reactions and mop up.
