I have quick time player installed as the default video player .
Now I have also installed Real time(free edition).

You could right click on the file ( shift right click in case of an older OS) and select the "open with" option and choose real time player from the list that is displayed
OR
open your "Control Panel" > open "Folder Options" > choose the "File types" tab> select the file extension > click on "change" button > select real time player from the window that opens! :)

No prob. right it is the technique: - launch your WMP - bypass to methods/techniques... - decide on the "document types" tab - decide on the document types which you need WMP to be your default participant. it is it ! :) Conversely, in case you may desire to alter the default participant of countless the media document formats decrease back to RealPlayer, purely persist with the technique under: - launch Realplayer - decide on methods/alternatives... - click on content fabric/Media types... - To manually decide on the media types which you relatively desire RP to be the default participant, click on the radio button that asserts "Manually configure media types for RealPlayer". - The "decide on..." button by way of then would be enabled. click on it. - on the ensuing pop-up communique field, verify (tick) the document formats which you need RealPlayer to be the default participant. it is it! :)
