ME is the orphan child of all microsoft O.S.s, if its not available on the website of your product manufacturer the only thing you can do is alter your OS. Windows ME is rarely supported by hardware manufacturers.

If your system will take XP, that maybe your only direction. Although there are still copies of 98 floating around. Hate to say it but your in the unenviable position that it may require an upgrade to connect your ipod to your pc. I do not recommend Vista for numerous reasons.
