Should be at least twice, but if you want to be sure you can go three times for the year. Healthy teeth are an asset, which you will not really appreciate until you lose them, or they begin to become yellow.

2 times a year if your teeth and gums are healthy. If you have problems with your gums insurance will pay (most of them anyhow) for 2 more "periodontal maintenance" a year, which are cleanings without Drs exams or x-rays.

Ideally, you are supposed to go in every 6 months. But for those of us without dental insurance, it becomes more like once every two years. Luckily, I have good teeth, and excellent brushing habits!

Twice a year.
Once every six months.
You need to talk to your dentist to schedule your appointments.
Have a happy smile then!
