I can't get anything to play properly. Also, earlier I tried to watch a DVD on my computer and I can't get any sound. It doesn't seem to be on mute - any ideas?

it was working fine for me 10 minutes ago
Try a system restore
( looks complicated ,but it is easy ......)
go to start
all programs
accessories
system tools
scroll down, to system restore
find an earlier date when the program was working for you
more than 3 days ago
click chosen date on calender
computer will restart
and then you should be back on track
all systems working
:)
you will not lose any data, or dates
try that, it helped me

Up to a few minutes ago I had been watching lots of You Tube stuff and it was working 100%.
Regarding your DVD - does your keyboard have a mute button - mine does and I constantly hit the button by mistake and spend loads of time trying to un-mute my PC from software sources.
