ask a family memebr or friend that is 20 - 30 years old. Tell them you will make them dinner in exchange for a 60 minute lesson on the internet. Good luck!

your local library should have computers to use that can tap the internet. Many community colleges have free classes that are what are termed 'open entry / open exit' that will also give you a chance to use the computer / internet.

after that (again community college) for $60 to $90 you can enter a "survey" class and actually spend considerable time learning about consumer issues on computers / user issues for internet.

The best way to learn is by making mistakes, then researching how to fix your mistakes. Forums are a great help as well as ask.com or the DIY network. There is a lot to learn so i would suggest just diving in and asking a lot of questions. Everyone has to start at the beginning.
