My wife's tooth is hurting pretty bad. Can't get to a dentist tonight. Have no Anbesol in the house. No cloves available or anything. Help, it hurts.

Aspirin, Advil, Tylenol. Over the counter pain medications are probably better than home remedies. I have had some serious toothache pain when I was younger, and in my experience, if the situation is really acute, nothing helps except for a shot of Novocaine and a dentist. Not even prescription medication. Get through the night and get an emergency visit first thing. Sorry about your wife's pain, I can only emphasize. There are some things you can buy specifically for a toothache, some numbing agents. Go to a drug store and see what they have for toothache pain. However, like I said, there is some pain that can only be alleviated by releasing the infection pressure on the tooth's nerve.

The most obvious way to naturally alleviate your toothache is with ice! Applying a cold ice pack to your face will numb the pain and also prevent swelling. Do not keep the ice on for more than 20 minutes at a time though. You can even place an ice cube directly onto the sore tooth.
A fun tip is to chew an onion! An onion may make you cry when you’re cooking, but if you chew a raw onion for 3 minutes, you can kill germs that cause cavities and the like and thus prevent crying over a toothache in the first place!

Lastly, other natural cures for toothache pain involve just a simple massage – but not on or around the aching tooth. If you feel pain on the right side of your mouth, gently rub your right earlobe or your right hand (in between your forefinger and thumb). Similarly, if your toothache is on the left side of your mouth, massage your left earlobe or left hand. This is a surprising tip but it works! Massaging pressure points on your body can alleviate toothache pain.

Yikes, nothing like a bad toothache, you can rub between her pointy finger and thumb that is where you rub with headaches and it will help with toothaches, you can try putting some aspirin on the gum below the tooth, just be careful not to use too much it will make the gums really raw. Take a warm bath to relax so it doesn't pound as bad.
Hope that helps I hate to hear of anyone having a toothache they suck!

She could put a heating pad (warm setting) against the side of her mouth that is hurting, and have her gargle with moutwash or warm salt water to clean the gums in case it's an infection that's causing the pain. Of course, she should take a pain reliever to aleviate some of the sting.

In order to cure a toothache you must see a dentist for the tooth to be filled, pulled, root canal, etc. and the sooner the better, as it could become abscessed.

rinse his mouth out with a mixture of hyrogen peroxide and water. Becarefull not to use tooo much peroxide. (its also known to break down tissue). Then you need to get him started on antibotics to clear up the infection. After that is cleared then he can go to the dentist. I am on my way to the dentist right now myself. Hope that helps.

This won't cure it but it might help with the pain. You know the webbing between the pointer and thumb fingers if you run a piece of ice on it that should reduce the pain.

Gee...she has a problem. Try holding warm or cold water (whichever feels better) on the side that's hurting.
