it must be executed, yet until eventually you have the digital camera, cables and a USB amplifier, it could be extra affordable just to purchase a secure practices cam setup from eBay. Webcams are in basic terms designed to artwork on the ten foot cable this is hooked as much as the digital camera. some cameras will function on a ten foot USB extension cable, yet thats approximately it. you will possibly get yet another 20 out of it, in case you place a USB amplifier interior the line, or run a powered USB hub for the 1st 20 feet. Webcams are designed for indoor use. some won't postpone nicely if used outdoors. in case you acomplish all that, and feature drivers for the digital camera put in, you ought to apply Microsoft's amcap application to computer screen the digital camera in preview mode. it is downloaded for unfastened. With on the spot pinhole secure practices cam kits on eBay so low fee, it basically could be extra convenient and extra fee effient to bypass that direction. i'm hoping this is useful :-)

I just did this with my web camera last week there is a free program called 'Home Watcher' It works great. It will take photos of what ever, but if you want them to be saved to an internet provider and get an update on your cell phone then you need to pay. But for home use you can get it and it takes pictures of what ever, and at a set time and saves on your computer. You can have the screen saver running and the program will still take the pictures saves them and when you get home you can check them out to find out who has been through your door. Or if you pay then you can receive the pictures and keep track where ever you are. My web camera is not that expensive. Actually it was kinda of cheap. So you don't need an expensive camera just one that works and hooks up to your computer.

that's really not possible, but i guess you can get a really long usb cable and position the webcam where you want it to be, then keep instant messenger running, and just connect to your webcam through the instant messenger on another computer.
