Hi there...alcohol causes comas or death in pet animals. It's best to discourage your cat from trying drinking the beer.

Cats love to eat greens....and hops are a yummy plant that I'm sure a cat would love to munch.
Cats also hate cold liquid. If you put cold water in the dish, the cat will most likely leave it alone until it is warm...that being said, Cats love warm (or room temp.) liquid.
I think the taste is probly yummy and not really bad for the cat....but maybe if you think it is all in fun, then get the non alcoholic kind.
(my dog loved beer, but never my cat!)

If your cat has too much beer it could be bad, but I see nothing wrong with sharing a little of your beer.

My mother watches the news every nigth with a beer that she shares with two cats and a dog. Kind of gross, but the animals love it. Even if it is bad, at least they are HAPPY. Just do not over do it :-). Treats are nice as long as you do not overindulge.

How funny. My friends ferret would almost fight her for her beer. I let my dog have a bowl to calm him down. I think your cat knows what is best. Just not too much or it will make it sick, there system is very clean.

Not anymore than to humans, just be sure not to give your cat too much. He/she could hurt itself if they are drunk, just like a human. My dog used to sneak and drink my vodka/and lime juice drinks, and I couldn't figure out why he acted so weird, until I caught him doing it. I on occasion let him have a drink, and I feel unashamed. He lived to be the ripe old age of 17. That is old for a dog. My cat who died at the age of 18, drank Strawberry Hill, a mild wine. It doesn't hurt them, as long as they don't become drunks, and it is only given to them on occasion.

I would like to say that someone said that your cat probably knows what is okay but dogs love chocolate but can't eat it. You should probably ask a professional
