Maybe she is jealous. Cats are not like humans, they don't get attached to their offspring just because. She sees you playing with the kittens and may resent you for it. Try giving her a little more one on one time...without trying to pick her up. A lot of petting and special treats for just her. I am sure in time she will start to warm up to you again.

Cats are great! But they are very sensitve if you bring any other cat into there home it's a change to them there kitten or not. She feels she is not the center of your attention anymore. Cats need alone time and they need there time with there owners but they get confused if others join there home, my cat has been a very good guy he welcomed in another kitty, he was upset at 1st but he learned to love her and they became best of friends now I sometimes feel left out! HA HA. They are best buds.

Post Partum depression? Maybe giving birth changed her. She is probably protecive of her kittens. I'm sorry.

Basically she MISSES her BABIES. Explain to the VET again what you said here @ YAHOO! ANSWERS!, the VET could & SHOULD send your CAT to a AMINAL PSYCHIATRISTor A BEHAVOURIST for animals. What happened TRAUMATIZED your poor CAT.

GOOD LUCK in findin' results!!
