Go to the dept store and get a bb gun and have some fun while you get your cat out of the tree. Everybody wins.

Certainly never throw things at her!!! That will frighten her more. See if the local fire dept will help, stress to them how high the cat is up there and it say an indoor cat. Otherwise, lightly coax her, with no body around and have a can of tuna there and try to blow the scent up to her. make sure that nobody else is around but you, this will scare her more if other folks are around. Most of the time tey come down by themselves, however, have the tuna in the day, never leave it at night, raccoons will find it and will kill your cat. if need to call the humane society or if you have the aspca nearby, make that call. Response time is long for any agency so do it immediately.

Your cat will come down once she gets hungry. Sometimes coaxing and throwing stuff at cats make them scared to come down. If your cat falls, remember that they always land on all their fours. It's easier for them to climb up than down, it's cat nature! So just leave some food out by the door, and eventually the cat will come down.

Why would you throw things at her? Chances are she'll come down when she's ready, unless you've scared her farther up the tree. Just wait, if she doesn't come down in a reasonable time, than get the ladder. Call the fire department as a last resort...they charge you in my City for their services.
Good luck.

Contact a tree pruning service (rather than the fire dept) for assistance. You can also try sitting quietly with her food (or special treats) so that she calms down and finds her own way down.

You may want to consider keeping her indoors in the future.

1) Put out food and leave it. If she can come down, she will. Give her time. If you make it too easy, she'll go back up again.

2) She may not be able to come down, in which case you will have to go up and get her.

Get a dog. Dogs never get stuck up in trees.
