Just because the females are fat, does that mean they are pregnant?

Fat can be full of eggs, bloat or just plain fat lol. If it's the females only then it's very unlikely it's bloat and also very unlikely that they are that over fed so I would put my money on them being full of eggs. Zebra danios are very easy to breed and no special care is required for the females to produce eggs, just good general fish keeping will do it. It's a sign you are doing things right :)

If you decide to breed them, you need to set up a special tank. Search around on the web for design ideas, but basically set up a tank a heater and filter, nothing else. Move the males into this tank for a week or so. Clean the trash from the bottom of the tank carefully and add 2-3 layers of marbles. Then lower the water level to about 2" above the marbles and add the females. They will spawn in a matter of a hour or two if they are going to at all. If they don't, go back to step one with them seperate for another week.

Plans to treat the eggs with a fungus medicine right away as the unfertilized eggs will fungus within a day and it can spread to the viable eggs and kill them. You shoudl remove all the adults as soon as breeding is completed and remove the marbles the next day. If you see fuzzy eggs, take them out using a piece of airline tubing as a syphon as those will be the fungused eggs. The babies do well on baby brine shrimp as soon as they are free swimming.

Best of luck to you!

Nope.
There is a disease called Bloat that is quite deadly. Could be that.
Look up Zebra Danios and Bloat on Yahoo Search.
