i have decided to give up smoking on feb5th my grandkids keep nagging me any help would appreceated i have been a smoker for 30 years so it's going to be very hard

Go for it. its not "easy" as some will say, in fact its bloody hard. BUT.....you will be glad you did.
I did nearly 10 years ago, and still feel good that I made it.
Oh and I had been smoking for 40 years and in the end was smoking 40-50 a day.

It will be near impossible with that kind of attitude. Giving up is not easy for anyone but it CAN and is done by millions of people each year.
I gave up 8 months ago without any patches, counselling, hypnotherapy, just sheer will power and the solid resolution not to give in to the cravings.
You CAN do it if you put your mind to it!

I found once I had firmly made up my mind to do it, it was easy enough. I no longer thought I 'wouldn't mind' if I failed. I had enough of killing myself slowly, making myself and my house stink and all the time paying for the privilege.

I was smoking 50-60 a day and stopped cold turkey in December 1999. I haven't had one since.

I found the programme 'QuitTime' a help.

there are so many diffrent stuff out there now to help you give up, i want to give up to, go to your doctors he will check you out and recomend the best one for you
