First of all--be sure she's a stray. No collar? No nice newly clipped claws? Take her to the vet and get her checked for an id microchip (many vets provide one for their patients). If you have determined positively that she doesn't have a home, then....
Can you keep pets where you live? If so, consider adopting her! Take her in, get her to the vet's, get her licensed and spayed if needed, name her and make her yours. If not, then consider giving her as a gift to someone you know who might be lonely. Take her to the vet just the same, get her tagged and licensed and checked up on, and then give her, a kitty bed, a litter box, and some getting-started food to someone to brighten up their lives. (and no, don't gift her to a chronic cat lady--that's probably what made her stray in the first place.)

If you want to keep her, take her to a veterinarian to make sure she is healthy. The vet will give her all her shots and check her for diseases, fleas, parasites, etc. Then make an appointment to have her neutered.
If you cannot keep her, find a no-kill shelter in your area. Find out if they do pick-ups or if you have to take her there. OR you could put an ad in a local paper to see if someone is missing such a cat or if someone would like to adopt her. Make sure the people who want to adopt her are good animal people. Ask them questions such as: Will she be given the proper medical attention? Will she be strictly an indoor cat? Do you have other animals that might harm her? Etc. Go on the Humane Society sites to check out what they ask potential pet owners.

My one cat was a semi-wild kitten when I found him. He is the most loving, most intelligent cat I have ever had. I have had cats since the age of 2, almost 53 years. They can be wonderful companions if you give them the love, respect, and medical attention they need.

ask around if any one wants a free cat, if you can't have her.

if you can keep her buy her a bowl, cat food, litter box, litter, schedual an appointment with a vet and take her there. You may want to get some toys for her these can be bought at the store or you can get them free by recyling stuff you have, a piece of string, a bottle cap, or even a balled-up piece of paper. Just be sure to examine them every so often for wear and tear (even the store bought ones)

I hope this helps.

If you KNOW she is a stray, keep her! All of my cats are strays, but don't get in the habit of taking in EVERY stray that you see! But if you don't want her, feed her for a few days and put up posters giving a detailed description of the cat. Who knows, you may get a call. (Usually cats that aren't shy or scared belong to somebody, so before taking her to the vet to make her yours, put up signs)

If you can afford to keep a cat in your household, keep her and give her tender care by supplying her food, shelter and love. A young kitten needs alot of attention especially from its mother but since she's a stray cat and were left alone, i guess you're the one who can bear the responsibility to give her such care. Trust me, she would make a wonderful companion in future.

If u can keep her then i say keep her but for some reason u can't i say to either find her real owners by puttin up posters with a pic of her saying that she was found. If no one calls and comes to get her then u should bring her to a really good shelter and u could go visit her if u want and make sure they get her a good home.

Feed it.. Take it to the vet and get it its shots and get it fixed.. that's the appropriate thing to do and its what i did... I started feeding it and bought it a "kitty condo" for my front porch then my mother explained to me if she gets knocked up I'll have to take care of all those kittens or find homes for them. i took her to the vet and thankfully she was already fixed. a few months later she had an infected tooth issue and i had to take her to the vet and have 3 teeth pulled... so dont feed the stray unless you are prepared to care for it because it will come to you every day looking for food, love and attention.. can you provide that?

if it is possible for you to have cats where you live, and you definatly know it is a stray, why not adopt her as your own. If you are going to do this, take it straight to the vet for check ups and vaccinations so you have a totally healthy and happy cat!

Good luck!

I found a kitten and i started feeding her. She grew to be a little bit bigger. I couldn't bring her inside because i have a dog and since it was getting really cold outside i took her to the animal shelter. If you don't plan on keeping her take her to the shelter. i know it may sound cruel but people come in their everyday looking for cats and dogs. how are they supposed to see the cat if its at your place.

you'll get a humane cat capture and placed some nutrients in it, then once he's trapped take him to the vet. My question is when you're taking him to the vet, what are you going to do with him??? in case you want to take him homestead, it particularly is tremendous purely beaware that he's apparently a semi-feral cat and it is going to take him awhile to get used to living someplace else. you should must be affected human being. The humane society gained't euthanize the cat once they get him lower back, he will be post for adoption. yet when he's inadoptable then that is a threat he will be euthanized. perfect wager in case you want to take him homestead is to get the humane capture from a community take care of or humane society and take him to the vet, then take him homestead for some love and interest.
