If i mixed a little moisturizer with a bit of self tanner (say the neutrogena for the face) could i achieve a slight tan - without being streaky? I've tried a good many of the "build a tan" products for the face including Jergens, but have not achieved the desired color yet. Plain self tanner is too dark on my face and so i wondered if i dilluted it if it would work better?

you actually might want to try a liquid bronzer mixed with the moisturizer. I saw that once on TLC what not to wear. that way you can control the amount of color that you put on your face. Try something like Clinique Bronze Bronzing Gel for face..they even say on the description to mix with moisutrizer for all over glow.
