Hello,
I have no real answer for you, but this one-: I think it's a religeous topic, and in my Catholic faith I would prefer it if the loved ones I leave behind would make the decision for me, I just hope I am alive long enough for me to ask me God to hear me when I commit to Him my spirit, just as Our Lord did when he was murdered, a place awaits everyones Spirit, and although I am not a raving religious maniac I still feel there is a right way to do it, why should I polute the atmosphere with what I am leaving behind me? I am happy to let my choices be decided for me, as I believe it will be a dignified celebration of my life, taken care of by a loving family. They will make all the choices be they traditional or concious, worry not..
There's too much research into all religions these days, and we must, each of us decide for themselves, Millions of people have gone before us, where ever their Spirits are now is not a problem for us to worry over, words will be spoken over us, and songs sung, that will hurt the congregations voices, for the sadness they feel at their individual losses, Better you don't worry, but do it the way your heart tells you, finally it's like this, in a Graveyard, there will be a monument, in a crematorium there will be a book of rememberance, and away from these places, there will be fond and loving memories of who ever has been lost..... I hope this helps you, and you are suffering no losses at this moment in time, Bless you....... Tony M

It is a family tradition which I do not like to break. I also believe that burials mean life after death for ethic reasons. Decomposition gives fertility to the soil, trees produce insects which in turn feed the birds. Also less burning into the atmosphere hence global warming

Most funerals I have been to in my family have been burials, I think its just been their choices. One Aunt was cremated, and she was almost buried AGAINST her wishes by her husband. Personally, I want to be cremated.... I dont like the thought of being buried in a cemetary. I feel its an honour to be cremated and have my ashes cast to the wind in a beautiful place. That way my ashes go back to the Earth and are one with nature.... Sounds soppy but thats the way I feel about it... and plus my kids can go to a beautiful place to remember me.. not to a crusty old cemetary.

Our family has exactly what the person who passed away requested.I don't know about a tradition per say but some families just choose to do whichever is best for the family. My sister wanted to be cremated and have a dinner at my aunts so we did just that.

interior the Christian attitude, neither is "outstanding." the two are suitable, for by way of fact the Bible says, "From dirt we got here, and to dirt we circulate." no count if or no longer we "velocity up" the approach by creamation isn't a subject. while you're thinking regarding the "Resurrection of the physique," which would be our "appropriate, eternal" bodies, and how this could be performed based upon "how" we die, it is not significant. God, being all effective, has the potential to "placed us back mutually" if He so needs, no count what happens to it, otherwise He does no longer be all effective, now could He? besides, it is going to likely be a "new" physique, the "old" is kicked the bucket. God will provide us the recent, eternal bodies we are able to wish for our eternal existance. i wish this helps answer your question. Have a blessed day!
