I have read in Chrysler factory literature that following an accident, the webbing in the seat belt may have been stretched too far. This damage is not obvious to the naked eye. During an accident, the webbing stretches to somewhat cushion the belt's sudden restraint on the person. Once stretched, the webbing is much less flexible and more prone to snap next time. I would change the ones that restrained someone during the accident.

After an accident, the seat belts should always be changed. Your life may depend on them so it's probably worth buying them again.

They do not need to be replaced there is a rocker in the seatbelt that needs to be flipped. seatbelts NEVER need to be re-placed they are not air bag's even then theyd dont need to be replaced come on guys get your facts straight ive owned a collision center for 10 years. unless there is visible damage to the components of the seats belts of the belt itsself flip the rocker over and it wil be fine
