You couldn't breath.
The ribs are attached to the lungs and keep them from collapsing in on eachother - sticking together.

Your heart and other organs would also be very unprotected. Getting pushed into a wall, the ribs wouldn't be there to take the force and impact, it'd be all soft tissue.

I suppose you might be a bit floppy and you probably wouldn't last too long because your heart would have no protection.

All of our soft organs in there would be a LOT more vulnerable.
It would be much easier to kill us!

your chest would collapse causing your lungs to suffocate. then you'd die from lack of oxygen
