Yes it can.Porting will tame some of the recoil in the .454 but will also direct the gases upward in front of you.I'd use Mag-Na-Port.They are one of the originators of porting and probably the best in the business.I'm sure you can find them on the web.

It is completely do able...jsu talk to a local gunsmith for pricing. But keep in mind that, that a ported barrel on a 454 will be super load and probaly blind you if you shoot it near dark.

Yes, I would have it sent of to Magna-Port. I think they do the most professional job.
