Follow these steps to stop these programs from running at startup - thus booting faster:
Go to Start/ Run - type in msconfig and hit enter. The system configuration utility opens - go to the last tab "startup" - you will see the list of programs that start when the os is loaded. Notice that Real Player would be realshed - uncheck. If you do not know what they mean - Google the abreviations.

The easiest way is to wait for your computer to boot and then right mouse button click each icon on the lower right of the computer screen that is an icon you don't want to load. Usually there is a 'preferance' button there and if you pick around almost all of them, there is a place to "uncheck" Load when windows starts or 'show on the taskbar".....

Don't touch your antivirus or important things. But you can definitely go to Yahoo prefereances and there's a spot so it won't load when you startup.....

You also can do what the other guy suggested and go to programs/startup and delete your items from there (if they show up there)

Go into the options of each of the programs that start when your PC starts and change them from "start when windows starts" to something else. If they dont give you that option you may not want to run them.

Follow the answers above that have to do with changing preferences in the programs themselves, and then follow the instructions above for using msconfig.

Most applications like these have a configuration or options / settings menu you has features you can uncheck to keep them from starting when you start your computer.

Go to start and run and type msconfig ...Then when it comes up go to startup and you can uncheck what you don't want to start. If you find out something you want to start you can go back into msconfig and check the box.......Thanks

Download CCleaner from http://www.ccleaner.com/ and go to the Tools -> Startup tab. You can delete what you want from the menu.
