Among these four , its Henman .He serves and volleys well , but is nowhere near Pete Sampras .
Hewitt is NOT a serve and volley specialist , he's a grinder .That is , he plays from the baseline and so does Nadal . Federer used to serve and volley before , but since 2004 , he also shifted to the baseline since most of his opponents are baseliners. And since , one of the answerers said Roddick , I'll tell u that Roddick plays from behind the baseline.

Henman played a classic serve and volley game, he had to change it slightly in order to compete with the current domination of baseline hitters and counter-punchers. Federer could be considered a serve and vollyer but then he excels at virtually every part of the game. Roddick is improving at the net with the help of Jimmy Connors, but still could not be even close to being called a serve and volley specialist, and it certainly couldn't be considered Hewitt's strong point.

To sum up my answer, Henman is the serve and volley specialist, his volleys are some of the best in the world still.

The reason may have something to do with the fact batsman don't have to think about anything when on the field except watching the ball. Bowlers have to think about plans to the different batsman, implementing those plans. Also when bowlers are captains they often have themself bowling more than they really should be when it is not always in the teams best interest.

Tim Henman is the best serve & volleyer of the four. The other three are basically baseline hard-hitters.
