I have read the manuals and past questions and comments, but can't get a real answer as to whether or not Audacity will actually burn the audio (that took me two hours to mix and figure out) on a hard compact disc! All I get is internal usless recordings. Please tell me if my burner is not enough and if I require wires/usb connections. Or should I give up and go with different free software audio editing company?

Yes, Audacity works very well. To burn the resulting music onto a CD you'll need a burner program. A free one is available for download at the below link.

In Audacity, bypass to Edit, thoughts, click on the Audio IO tab. interior the recording section, make confident the perfect sound device is chosen, and set the Channels to 2(Stereo). click ok. Then be confident interior the major window the enter chosen is Stereo mix. it somewhat works high-quality for me. in case you recorded in mono, although if the output record is stereo, you'll in common words get mono sound.
