look here, only sum rap talk about that if u don't beleive me check out these lyrics

When I was young me and my mama had beef
Seventeen years old kicked out on the streets
Though back at the time, I never thought I'd see her face
Ain't a woman alive that could take my mama's place
Suspended from school; and scared to go home, I was a fool
with the big boys, breakin all the rules
I shed tears with my baby sister
Over the years we was poorer than the other little kids
And even though we had different daddy's, the same drama
When things went wrong we'd blame mama
I reminice on the stress I caused, it was hell
Huggin on my mama from a jail cell
And who'd think in elementary?
Heeey! I see the penitentiary, one day
And runnin from the police, that's right
Mama catch me, put a whoopin to my backside
And even as a crack fiend, mama
You always was a black queen, mama
I finally understand
for a woman it ain't easy tryin to raise a man
You always was committed
A poor single mother on welfare, tell me how ya did it
There's no way I can pay you back
But the plan is to show you that I understand
You are appreciated

Jesus walks)
God show me the way because the devil try to break me down
(Jesus walks with me)
The only thing that I pray is that my feet don’t fail me now
(Jesus walks)
And I don’t think there’s nothing I can do to right my wrong
(Jesus walks with me)
I wanna talk to God but I’m afraid cause we ain’t spoke in so long
(Jesus walks)
God show me the way because the devil try to break me down
(Jesus walks with me)
The only thing that I pray is that my feet don’t fail me now
(Jesus walks)
And I don’t think there’s nothing I can do to right my wrong
(Jesus walks with me)
I wanna talk to God but I’m afraid cause we ain’t spoke in so long

I get down for my grandfather who took my momma
Made her sit that seat where white folks aint wanna us to eat
At the tender age of 6 she was arrested for the sit in
With that in my blood i was born to be different
Now ****** can't make it to battles to chose leadership
But we can make it to jacobs to ****** the dealership
That's why i hear new music
And i jus dun b feelin it
Racism still alive they jus be consealin it
But i know they don't want me in the damn club
They even made me show I.D to get up in to sam's club
I did dirk and went to church and get my hands scrubbed
That why i've baptised at least 3 or 4 times
But in the land where *****'s pray
U con's are getting paid
It gon take a lot more than coupons to get *****
Notin sadder than that day my girl father past away
So i promised to MR.rany i'm gonna marry your daughter
And u know i'd like to thank u for they way that she was brought up
And i know that u were smiling when u see that car i bought her

{"Push it to the limit!"}
Port of Miami - uhh, port of my candy - uhh
Ain't got nuttin to lose - nah
We supportin the family
{"Push it to the limit!"}
Never traffic for fun.. only traffic for funds
All I seen is the struggle, it's like I'm trapped in the slums
{"Push it to the limit!"}
Workers are barely paid, no water we barely bathe
There better be better days on the way that's on my daddy grave
{"Push it to the limit!"}
I'm pushin it hard.. I'm pushin it South
If he pushin a line.. he pushin for Ross
{"Push it to the limit!"}
I waited and waited.. I done ran out of patience
They hated and hated, left him slow dancin with Satan
{"Push it to the limit!"}
Fresh in my white tee, mac-11 swear to God
I bought my first block, broke it down and to' the block apart
{"Push it to the limit!"}

Have you ever loved someone so much, you'd give an arm for?
Not the expression, no, literally give an arm for?
When they know they're your heart
And you know you are their armour
And you will destroy anyone who would try to harm 'em
But what happens when karma, turns right around and bites you?
And everything you stand for, turns on you, despite you?
What happens when you become the main source of a pain?
"Daddy look what I made", Dad's gotta go catch a plane
"Daddy where's Mommy? I can't find Mommy where is she?"
I don't know go play Hailie, baby, your Daddy's busy
Daddy's writing this song, this song ain't gonna write itself
I'll give you one underdog then you gotta swing by yourself
Then turn right around on that song and tell her you love her
And put hands on her mother, who's a spitting image of her
That's Slim Shady, yeah baby, Slim Shady's crazy
Shady made me, but tonight Shady's rocka-by-baby...

and people say things about how they hoes or half naked women on their videos, but u don't see them complaining about hugh heffener and is play bunnys and mostly the people on there is white(no offense), so why r they hating on rap videos. to me i feel that they r trying to put the black culture down cuz they r african americans that r doing something that makes them successful. plus they r saying why don't u get out of the ghetto and dosomething u like (which is mostly rap for some people). and when we do it they try to put us down.

Sadly enough the answer to your question is that only negative rap is filtered into mainstream society and likewise has become the stereotype for all rap. Motivational and positive rap music does exist, however, it is overshadowed by the negative rap which has become cliche.

Eventhough I am not a rap fan, I do have to admit that people tend to make false generalizations about rap music. As you have mentioned, all rap music is not bad. There are many rappers, like Common and Kanye West, who rap about subjects that are of actual importance to society. With that said, however, I do feel that the majority of rap music that is played on the radio tends to be quite negative and, in my opinion, unworthy of being heard by anyone.

That sort of rap is a stereotype.

Like virtually everything rap can be good or bad. It can be emotive and uplifting, full of inspiration and positive messages, as you've quoted. Or it can just be negative stereotypical lyrics making out that the rapper is a gangsta with lots of women who lust after his material possessions.

Sadly, it seems that a lot of rap that people encounter is the latter sort, accompanied by videos of guys surrounded by scantily clad women, wearing tons of bling and pimped out rides. Added to which, a number of popular rappers have admitted to being drug dealers before they hit the big time.

Hence the stereotype.

TUPAC is and will be, by far the best rapper of all time, the first rapper to sing about hoes and then sing about ladies, keep ya head up and real life. Tell me who else, other than the great Machivelli himself, could keep the media wandering whether he is dead or alive after so many years. Many people assume that is what rap is all about because they probably have heard a few songs and you cannot deny it yourself, a alot of it is. Now that I'm older it's kind of sick talking bout getting down with all these people, and AIDS is everywhere. Anyways just thought I needed to let the world know TUPAC was and will be the Best song writer/rapper of all time!

Isn't killing a crime? This verse is obviously of some little hoodlum who committed a crime. And now the inoccents around him are paying the price, namely his mother. Hardcore rap music is and always will be about negative things. You might say "Well, what about Weird Al Yankovic?". He doesn't rap about killing or raping or crime or drugs or anything like that. He makes light of what the real song is saying.

Some rap is meaningful, but a lot of it really is about hoes and drugs. It gives the rest of rap a bad reputation. And negativity sparks from ignorance. The people that insult rap only know its reputation and not that there can be meaningful, moving, clean rap. I'm a big fan of rap btw, and all music so I don't like people that knock a certain genre when they don't know.

The people that say that don't listen to the music and the small amount of exposure they get is limited to what makes a stir.

Because it is, alternative, and rock are so much better, they talk about the world, and how it is out to get you, not killing cops, and doing hoes, and drugs, and stealing and many other bad things.

I think most people think that about rap because unfortunately most rap artists do rap about hoes and killings. I do like most rap music. I like people like Will Smith and Cowboy Troy. That's because they don't rap about Hoes and killing. The only Hoe I think Cowboy Troy would rap about is the one you use on the farm. lol.
I do like the rap song that you put in this question. What's the name of it and who sings it?
