I am 165 lbs. I want to lose 15 lbs. So I skipped my breakfast, for 1 month. My breakfast is usually, half cup oatmeal, 1 cup milk and half a banana. I hardly lost any weight. My weight now 164 lbs. I did not change anything else.

Do you have an opinion as to why I am not losing? I was expecting a loss of at least 5 lbs in 1 month.

because the meal you left out is very healthy. It's the fries, cokes, fats that need to go. Also, you probably eat more lunch if your hungry.

Breakfast actually kick starts your metabolism for the day. Without it, your metabolism shuts down and takes it easy. That's why you haven't lost any weight. Try eating water rich fruit, like canteloupe, watermelon, peaches, etc for breakfast. The breakfast you described sounds fine if you want to stick with that. Diet alone is tough. You really need to add some exercise to the routine. Muscle burns more fat so getting toned and strong will help burn the fat even while sleeping.

EAT BREAKFAST...it is the most important meal of the day. Look at the nutrition label on the package and limit carb and calorie intake. Also exercise more you need at least 30 minutes of exercise each day.

The best diet out there is not a diet- Bodyforlife.com is hard to do but makes a lot of sense. I know a lot of people who were really successful at losing weight with this program.

Skipping breakfast is BAD. Just lower your carb intake and exercise.
