Definately weight gain mostly because your body needs time to rest to increase its metabolic rate to burn more calories. Of course you want to sleep about 3 hours after you do eat mainly because of the issue of having fat and calories stored and not burned off before you pass out.

i believe weight gain...

u are awake more hours of the day, therefore giving yourself more opportunities to eat.

i've read that both weight gain and lost can result from deprivation of sleep, but this one makes more sense to me.

;)

relies upon what you devour and how lots of it. If all you have is a small handfull of peanuts or almonds. Then, that's trivial and nuts are filling and don't enhance your blood sugar and insulin very severe (that's what makes you benefit fat). yet, while you're like a Sumo wrestler who eats 5 plates of foodstuff earlier going to sleep. you may benefit some pounds or extra.
