When we breathe in, the atmosphere naturally has a carbon dioxide content of about 0.04%. When we breathe out, our breath has a carbon dioxide content of 4.5% (link 1). Presumably, the oxygen content also drops from 21% to around 16%.
Thus, if there is a plastic bag over your head (do NOT try this at home) you won't consume all the oxygen in there in just one breath. It will take at least four... probably more. Your exchange rate goes down as the oxygen content does.
