The pressure and temperature rating is a characteristic rating of the hose - the other IMPORTANT consideration is how impervious to the fluid the hose is.
If it's a pneumatic hose, it was probably never intended for use with a solvent or oil based fluid.
If the fluid weakens or dissolves or otherwise degrades the material or reinforcement in the hose, the ratings quickly become meaningless.
