I have to learn a foriegn language and I picked spanish but now I have to pick from spanish(cast.)and spanish(LTA).What Does cast. & LTA stand for???& which one should I pick ??

It is the same Spanish only that every country has a different accent and many modisms/slangs.

It is more or less the same as English from UK and American English.

Cast. is Castilian (Spain) and LTA is Latin America.

If you are planning to stay and work in the US then maybe is better you study Spanish from Latin America as that is the kind of spanish you will have around.

When I was in highschool, 1984, we had Spanish, but there was no cast or LTA. Just plain Spanish. Unfortunately, I have no clue either as to what they mean.

castillian is the spanish from Spain and LTA is from latin america

I would recommend you to choose to learn Spanish from Latin America.
