I got a 'video for Christmas, and would like to put a movie or two on it. What software from Apple do I need?? I really don't want to buy a movie I already have just so that I can put it on my ipod.

Nothing from Apple, that I can think of (unless Quick time does it).
You are better of doing a google search for iPod video converters. I use one called 'Alive' and I find it very quick and easy.

If your trying to put a movie from a DVD you already have onto your Ipod thats not going work unless you get a program to convert it to the right format and shrink down the resolution. Not to mention that any program that can do that is gonna have to crack the copy protection features on the DVD.
Not sure which programs can actually do it right now, most companies that make them get shut down rather fast do to copy right laws.
Its probably easier, and in the long run possibly cheaper to jsut buy the videos from Itunes. That or find someone who already has them and copy them over.

itunes!! just add the videos to ure library, but you have to convert them to mp4 format first. Good Luck

you can use quicktime pro to convert most pc format videos (avi,mpeg,etc...) for a price and/or use Videora to convert most pc format videos for free and/or use cucusoft to convert DVD to ipod and watch DVDs on your ipod...
