Realize that those people have issues and ignore them. Their behavior doesn't define you or how you respond to them. You can kill them with kindness or ignore them. The choice is yours but you can't change them only how you react to them.

I've been working in retail for 25 yrs and do deal with a lot of rude people. The best thing that I have found when dealing with them is to smile and be extremely nice and polite back to them. You would be surprised how many respond very warmly back to you.

For the most part, I over look their rudeness & respond in kindness. I have found that a gentle/kind answer turns away their anger, if I respond with the same kind of attitude that they have, then it only fuels a more rude & angry response from them. Life is to short as it is.

The more rude they are to me, the nicer I try to be toward them. It's very hard but if you keep being nice and returning every rudeness with kindness, pretty soon they won't have a leg to stand on. Hope this helps. :) This verse from Proverbs always encourages me...

If it's bothering you then you should say something. You don't have to be rude just make them aware that you don't appreciate the manner in which they interact with you. If you just keep ignoring them and what not then it'll only build up and begin to affect your health and overall happiness. Take a stand and tell them how you feel.

Well i am quite "big" shall we say, and i get lots of nasty and rude comments, the best way i deal with it is to ignore them because at the end of the day, no one can bring you down unless you let them, so ignore it! Besides, your your own worst critic!!

Force yourself to totally disregard them. Such persons are rude to acquire attention and the status of Mr. Bully, when they are disregarded therefore, their entrails twist with pain and eventually they deflate and all the rudeness is released out of their brain in the form a long fart. :)

Put them in their place. Sometimes rude people are only rude because no one has told them about their rudeness. Id tell him/her that i dont appreciate their behavior towards me and if it continued there will be "consequences and repercussions". If they dont believe you, let them know you didnt take your meds today and its about to be taken to the next level. Or you could take the passive route and ignore them...not recommended.

by being forgiving, which is not an easy thing do. but there's no need to get all piss off and be rude back at them. who knows what's going on, on their life, are they in physical or emotional pain - therefore the only way they can cope is by being "rude".

I ignore them everyday...If they try to get in my face I tell them that I'm too old and mature to stoop to that level....After that, I let them talk or what ever because I said my peice and if that doesn't satisfy them, keep ignoring them until they give up and pick on someone else. But if they put their hands on ya, then you can defend yourself.
