Are you pronouncing it "Twenty-Oh-Seven"?

that makes sense, and I think it will be a common form once we get past the "ohs". Twenty-Ten, Twenty-Eleven, etc.

I think once we got to Two Thousand (couldn't really say Twenty-Oh-Oh) it was natural to say Two Thousand and One, etc.

Plus, people my age grew up with the movie "Two Thousand and One:A Space Odessey" so we weren't about to say Twenty Oh One.

Good luck in your quest, though. I'll try to say Two Thousand-Oh-seven as often as I can remember - maybe it will be a big help to your class, lol.

Some people do use the Twenty 07. But for some we just say two thousand seven. I'm not sure why. maybe it just sound better than saying One-Thousand Ninehundred 99.........

People were too lazy to say One thousand, nine hundred, ninety nine.

Twenty oh seven just doesn't sound right.

Good luck trying to change.

I honestly never gave it any thought, but because it is unique I think I'll give it a shot. Good luck to you and your class.

Sorry kiddo - the use of "twenty" sounds pretentious; don't count on me or many others to use it.

Another case of dumbing down America. Thanks for the 2 points.
