Maybe they bring a drink, but other than that, the service is pretty minor. 5% 10%, 15%, 20%? Opinions welcome...

A buffet tip should be a straight tip. The tip for a normal Las Vegas buffet with serves beverages should be $1 for breakfast $1.50 for lunch and $2 for dinner. A higher-priced buffet usually comes with better service and a better tip is required.

Remember no tip is automatic. If you do not get any service, tip accordingly. And if you do get good service tip accordingly. An 18 percent tip for groups is a stretch. You do not have to pay it.

Lets not forget the cook cutting your meat, tossing your salad and sautéing your pasta. Toss the cook your loose change or a buck.

Tipping at buffet-style restaurants is not as common, since buffet workers are paid a slightly higher fixed wage and do not depend as much on tips. The amount of the tip should be proportional to the amount of time that the server needed to spend on properly helping the customer.

You should leave them at least 5% to 10% of the total bill. This depends heavily on exactly how much work is done by the waitstaff. In some restaurants, the waitstaff does very little, like simply bringing fresh linen and/or utensils. In other restaurants, the staff brings drinks, and some orders from the kitchen directly.

Usually you don't because the tip is included in the package. If the buffet is not given for or by a group, just for individuals in a restaurant, in that case 10% is adequate.

Depends if she/he is keeping my table clean, My drink full etc.. 2 people, I always tip $5, unless i get ignored. And it depends on the place I'm at. Not all buffet's are created equal.
