Regardless of your political preference .... I don't think our president should be referred to as "Mr.", as newscasters, etc. commonly do. I would never call my doctor "Mr.." or "Mrs". This is a title rightly earned. Any one else agree?

People should show more respect for the office, and show a little deference. Maybe I'm just too classy and old school?

George Washington was uncomfortable with the title President Washington because it sounded too much like King George.

But Bush hasn't earnt a title. Doctors go through years of training to achieve their titles are medical practioners, but Bush has done nothing like that.

if a president were to actually be a doctor or have their PHd then I would be more than willing to call them Dr. President...even though that sounds weird.

Bush has earned the title "Nitwit", nothing else.

However in less formal settings he also answers to "Monkey Boy".
