I think a third major party should focus on the issues concerning the average Joe like Social Security, health, low taxes, civil liberties, etc. The Reform Party had its chance in the '90s but they were filtered by Buchanan and his boys. All this did was break the Reform Party. I personally think any third party would do better than the major parties. I personaly like the Libertarian Party because I'm fiscally conservative and socially liberal on 90% of the issues but on the important ones I take a moderate POV. However, I think that the Libertarians need to focus on say their top issues and have a moderate vision on the important issues. For example, I don't favor privatizing Social Security. But I agree with most of their issues.

I would hope it would be a party for me to be able to believe in like that one person we all have in our life where no matter what is wrong they can fix it or at least make it better because they care about you and what is best for you. With the two parties now it is like the more divided the country the better they like it. Its like a big football game and each party wants to win, claim the trophy and shine it up in front of the loser every chance they get. But while they battle we see our country going to hell in every way possible.

There are human beings in better positions who do not favor to open as a lot because the idea of a third party. Then there are those Republicans and Democrats who do not favor this to take position. numerous years in the past I had someone lash out at me because i did not favor to vote for both George Bush or Al Gore.

How about the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. I would like to see a party that supported ALL of both documents instead of the parts convenient to their philosophy and agenda. Why should such a simple thing be so hard?
