An MBA holder has a better chance of getting jobs involved in consultancy and planning aspects of a business than those who do not have graduate degree or have limited experience in the company. Most people get MBA degrees to jumpstart their careers, or if their job/s is on a more technical part of the business (e.g. engineers), they get their MBA to get a broader perspective on heading a business enterprise to be able to climb the corporate ladder and not stay on a rut or on just a particular department in a company. A PhD degree holder can ultimately become a professor, professional consultant or maybe even CEO, COO, CFO of a company.
