Well, its already predicted that just exactly that will happen. Its called WWIII or Armageddon, and 3/4 of the earth's inhabitants will die, or 4 1/2 billion people, based on a population of 6 billion. Get out of Dodge when that happens, cause they will be killing each other over a bottle of water, or a can of Dinty Moore beef stew. It could be in 5 years, or 50 years, any ones guess.

West Virginia. Allegheny Mountains. Cabin in the woods on the side of a hill. Nearest highway, one mile. Guns in cabin: plenty. Bullets for guns: mucho plenty. Food in cabin: enough for three years. The basic idea: outlive those who will die, until the population is again in balance with the food supply. I'm also growing a small orchard for apples and walnuts.

Absolutely, yes.

I am in the northern Midwest.

Without question, I could heat with wood, cook with wood, cut my own wood, acquire my own food, repair my own tools or make them, and protect my own land and home.

Sooner or later, if all hell breaks loose, it may well come to this and I am emotionally, intellectually and physically prepared.
