Don't even think about trying it. But for iPod safety, apple made a waterproof case for it, just in case. The case is expensive than the others, because the case really works. It even has an extra screen protector.

yeah it is waterproof.. even without the waterproof case it is waterproof but if u go past like 50 feet down u might kill it.. it has a limit like all watches..

no, ipod nanos are not waterproof and please dont test it to see whether i'm lying :-). if you want it to be waterproof you can always buy a waterproof case for it.
