No one knows for sure my love. The thing with love and heartbreak is there is no set date for expiration. You have to make the first steps towards moving on and one day you'll wake up and it will no longer be that haunting first thing on yuor mind. The best way to do this is to eliminate the things that connect you to your ex and bestfriend completey, or confronting it so that it will shrink itself.

but hopefully your best friend is just that and she told him to get lost.
Sounds like this guy is a jerk and unworthy of what you are feeling.
