I use alot of macs, and I rarely see a crash, I also use alot of windows systems, an I see more crashes than with Macs, another thing, Mac OS X does _not_ get viruses, there is no real virus for it as of yet, it is a unix based os that is robust and just does not have any real viruses, a virus duplicates itself and causes harm, which a Mac just isn't vulnerable to. There are some exploits but no actual viruses, but nothing a savvy user can't handle.

I have a my Mac for about 1 1/2 years, it has never crashed and trust me, I do more on it, pushing the resources then I ever did on a Windows machine, and the reason I do more, is that Windows does not handle the resources as effectively.
Viruses - viruses for the Mac are far and few between. At this point in time, I am not even worried about paying for Norton. Since the Macs are growing in popularity, I realize that in the future, I will have to buy some anti-virus software, since the people who write viruses are going to realize that Mac is the up and coming place to be.
Every person I know that has bought a computer in the past year, has bought a Mac - Mac - 4 ....Windows - 0. I think this is just the beginning.

Macs are amazing. Listen only to the people that have one, There is a very very VERY low risk of a virus and spyware does not exist on macs. Mac crashes are rare but mostly due to too many programs running at once which would be when you forget to close them. Ignore what the pc users say about macs. I feel sorry for them. Poor fellows.

Every operating system will get viruses and crash. However Macs tend to get less viruses since they aren't as popular as pc's. Also there operating architecture is more stable then windows so they are less likely to crash but will still crash sometimes, just not as much. Of course if you are looking for contracting the least amount of viruses try linux. Since it is still rarely unknown it gets rarely any. However I don't know on how frequently it crashes.

No, Macs dont crash every 14 minutes like windows (even though it doesnt crash every 14 minutes). Just give it a water cooling system.
Yes, macs can get viruses, but not as likely, cause hardly anyone usees macs.

To be honest i've never heard of MAC's crashing as much as windows does, in fact one of my friends has a G5 when they first came out and has it still and never had it crash, i've never really heard of MAC's actually crashing that much. But I think it's just depends on what you are doing to the system, or trying to do and such that leaves it up in the air alot of the times.

actually macs hardly ever crash and PCs do all the time. I work on both systems in a tv production environment with all machines maintained by a dedicated IT department. And PCs crash way more often.
