You can but it's probably more work than it's worth. I would think that gold fish are stocked with lots of bones.

Here's my fave recipe for fried goldfish:

(serves 12)

24 large goldfish, cleaned and deboned
1 1/2 cups flour
2 eggs
salt
pepper
tabasco sauce
peanut oil

*Coat fish in egg wash, and flour. Salt and pepper to taste. Fry in oil until golden brown. Serve hot with tabasco sauce and fresh lemon.

technically it wouldn't harm you to eat a few gold fishes but who would want to seriously unless it was a dare or something.

I suppose you can eat just about anything. I wouldn't recommend it though. I just got done watching the jackass dvd I bought and steveo swallowed a goldfish and puked him out.

I doubt they're meaty enough. If you have a hankering for some random fishy treat I recommend Japanese food - it's actually healthy!

Why not...people eat anchovies on pizza....or eat sardines.
I'm sure there are no health risks involved....I think it just seems odd because they are eaten alive...or swallowed as a game.

Sure, but being members of the carp family. I doubt they'd taste very good.

Well, they certainly won't cause YOU any harm, but they are NOT considered a "food".
The only reason I can think of for ANYONE wanting to consume them is for a DARE.
They are NORMALLY considered PETS.
SO....would YOU eat your PET?

Sure why not? But why would you want to? A can of tuna gives you more bang for your buck.
