In the northern climates freezing rain is a hazard to driving. When this occurs, salt is sprinkled on the roads and warm air from the defroster is blown against the windshield of an automobile in order to restore visibility. It would be convenient to have a system to have a system that automatically turned the defroster blower system ON and OFF as needed. A thermostat embedded in the windshield to detect tempurature could be used to perform this function. What temperature should the thermostat be set to turn on/off the hot air blower?
