What should I wear with a short brown cord skirt?

I am going to a dance sometime this week , just your everyday (( well once a month )) kind of dance. But my BIG time crush is gonna be there.
I wen t out and bought a cute new short skirt not too short thow it's a little-bit above my knees. What should I wear with it? Oh.. And make-up help needed , I have Auburn colored hair , hazel eyes and light skin. What sort of make-up should I wear? I am on a tight budget so I can only spend about $30-$40.Now I am not going to wear anything involving my stomach showing -_- I am sorta self Conshis about that lol.

Ohh And this is like a dance dance , the kind you dance at lol not the kind to sit there and look pretty.

First thing, you sound like me. So if I was in your place, I would wear some funky high but not too high heels, you can find these at Walmart or Target for about $10-$20 for those. Wear a scoop long sleeve shirt but not too tight if your self conscious about that body area. Again you can find that also at Walmart or Target. Look on the clearence racks, you can probably find a cute top for about $7-$13. For your hair, put it up a messy bun if its long enough, if its not, wear them in cute pigtails with some glittery clips. (Clips at drugstores for about $.79-$2) Finally, your makeup. With your skin tone and hair color, I suggest a chocolate brown or light brown eyeliner, like Marykate and Ashley for about $2-$3. Wear some natural brown mascara. (I like Great Lash by Clinique.) And thats around $3-$5. Lastly, slick on some gloss and have fun.
Most important: Don't let your crush get in the way of having a good time. I know it will hurt if you see him dancing with a different girl, but just chill with your friends and pick out a new crush and flirt your heart out. HAVE FUN!!!

I hope you're wearing really low-cut or flat heels, because you're going to be dancing! Your brown skirt sounds really nice, you can wear a lacy brown shirt or a golden tank top with lace embroidery. I'm in the mood for lace, I think. Okay, the makeup - I love smoky eyes and a pretty, light brown lip gloss. Sephora is wonderful. I'm sure you have a shirt that'd match the skirt, as for the makeup there are a ton of discount stores with really reliable makeup that you can purchase. Flats, well they are most inexpensive. PayLess has wonderful ballet flats that you could probably get, hopefully they'll have some in the junior's section!

I think that Camoflauge leggings will be cute with the skirt. Wit some boots or flats. As for a top......anything goes.......a cute tee? Makeup: Just go for neutrals on the eyes (browns/pinks), some mascara, some gloss, maybe a shimmer powder on your cheeks. Make sure your brows are groomed, use a matching brow pencil to fill in any scarce spots.

OK SO COMFORT IS IMPORTANT IF THERE IS TO BE A LOT OF DANCING. I WOULD TRY AND FIND A GOLD T-NECK W/ MATCHING GOLD TIGHTS AND BROWN FLATS.

with a nice long sleeved shirt would look good. Wear flat shoes and your feet will feel great the whole time.

If you really like natural tones i would go with a tan sweater. they usually go on sale this time of year.
