See the medical link below...I put "facial hair" in the search engine and several selections are available for further research.

Some ethnic peoples have less facial hair than others...perhaps you have some Native American in your genetic mix. Try not to worry about it...think of the savings on razors and shavers!

Some claim that cold weather will bring out the hair on one's chest...perhaps it would help with facial hair, too. Do you spend enough time outside in the Winter...is it cold enough to inspire nature to protect your face from the element?

Also, shaving the face may actually stimulate hair growth. Women claim that it stiffens the hair on legs and underarms to shave it. It purportedly come back "double". Maybe shed the goatee and simply go through the motions until the face toughens and matures to support a basic hair base.

i have no problems with growing facial hair. but then i'm male and age 33. and have a full beard.

it could be any number of things stoping the asker growing facial hair. the asker could have a testosterone deficiency (testoterone one of many hormones responsible for hair growth)
the asker may not have shaved off the bum fluff yet from there cheeks (local term for the soft hairs on the face of young adults and children).
if the asker is female it is a serious medical condition that she needs to see her GP about as soon as possible (facial hair on a wmoan is not good and i do not mean looks i mean health).
it could come down to the diet you are eating. if your diet is unhealthy and or unbalanced then this can have difffering effects on things like yur facial hair.

see a doctor if you are concerned. if you want a beard or want to be shaving two or three times a day then get treatment.
i can tell you there are a lot of guys out there who dream of not having to shave daily me included.

i only have a beard from september to may to cut down on my heating bill, you would be surprised at how much money it saves each year. hell it saved enough last year to buy a decent £150 flat panel display panel for my computer.

it may not look good but it sure does make finacial sense to have a beard especially if you are on a low income.

Facial hair is a secondary sex characteristic in human males. Many men develop facial hair in the later years of puberty, approximately between 15-18 years old. Many women also have some facial hair, especially after menopause, though typically much less than men. Eyebrows and eyelashes are also grown by both sexes of all ages.

Male pogonotrophy (the growing of facial hair; beardedness) is often culturally associated with wisdom and virility. Many men style their facial hair into beards, moustaches, goatees or sideburns. However, many others completely shave their facial hair. A man's facial hair, especially short hairs that were missed in shaving, is often referred to as whiskers, although only certain nonhuman mammals have true sensory whiskers.

Women typically have little hair on their faces, apart from eyebrows and the fine fuzz nearly all people have covering most of their bodies. However, a few women have noticeable facial hair growth. Excessive hairiness (especially facially) is known as hirsutism, and is usually an indication of abnormal hormonal variation. In contemporary western culture, almost all women shave, tweeze or otherwise depilate facial hair which does appear, as there is considerable social stigma associated with facial hair in women. Freak shows and circuses once displayed (usually fake) bearded women.

The amount of facial hair on a man's face varies from individual to individual, and also between ethnic groups. For example, men from many East Asian, West African or American Indians backgrounds typically have much less facial hair than those of European, Middle Eastern or South Asian descent, with American Indians typically having little to none at all.

Whoa. I'm 15 and started shaving when I was 11. Just start shaving and it will grow. Remember, the hair is what makes the man! Haha, kidding.

It's good not to have facial hair, you always look clean and neat, and you are much better with this.

Um, you're kinda stuck with the hair follicles you were given. My ponytail won't hurry up and grow either. Good luck.
