I just had a baby 2 months ago, and I need to lose at least 10lbs, and a dress size in 7 days for a big event. I currently breast feeding so I just have to make sure I'm not taking away from my baby. I'm still taking prenatal pills.

to be safe with the breast feeding issue i would definitely speak to your doctor first. I would suggest a liquid diet and exercise, but you probably won't get the nutrients and vitamins your child needs. Definitely speak to your doctor, but he/she will probably tell you to buy a bigger dress. Good Luck and Congrats on the baby!

If you are breast feeding and just had a baby, it is totally crazy to think to try something like this in a week. it would not only hurt you but also the baby as well and put you both at risk. Is it worth a dress size to endanger both your life and the life of your newborn? Go buy a dress a size bigger or have someone let the one you have out if possible but use some sense and be healthy about it. If you eat lots of fruits and veggies and leave out the high fat meats and replace that with some nuts and legumes, that is beans of any kind, you will be able to lose sensibly without harm to either you or your baby.

A ten lb weight loss in one week is unrealistic and more importantly not healthy, especially for a woman who has just given birth and is still breast feeding. My advice is to wear a larger size dress. If this is a pre-palnned event where the dress has already been ordered. Take it to someone who specializes in alterations and see if it can be "let out" a little. Your priority should be feeling as good as you can for yourself and that little one. The weight will come off at a much more reasonable pace if you don't place harsh demands on yourself.

For the sake of your child, I would "skip" the big event, if I have to make changes to your body that may be detrimental to milk production or your hormones.

You "can" lose 10 pounds in "water weight", but, that my not be the best thing still, for the milk producing part of your body...(It may even shut it down for a spell, who knows, what a rapid weight loss may occur?).

I would just get a dress that 'fits' your size now, at a goodwill store or thrift shop, (so its not that expensive and you can toss it after the event). Lots of people donate beautiful things to those places, and I have seen even the "rich" people shop there, so there is no shame abou it either.

I wish you well..

Jesse

I would suggest a cleansing diet. I did this and lost 12 pounds and 19 inches in 9 days. I continued and lost 29 pounds in a month. I like the program since it works by giving your body nutrition through protein shakes with digestive enzymes and vitamins and then cleansing out the toxins. We get toxins in our bodies from pesticides, preservatives, water, pollution, medications, food additives etc…. These toxins enter our bodies and get stored in our fat cells. To shrink the fat, we need to get rid of the toxins through cleansing. The program also has a natural diet pill to help your metabolism and curb cravings. It works and it works fast. My skin has improved from the cleansing. You can get more info at this toll free number 1-877-587-4647. It is pricey but worth it! I think cleansing is really important to health and weight loss. Give it a try and good luck! http://diet4cleansing.com

"NEED"?

Define "Need."

Babe, you're nursing, and you "NEED" to fit into a dress?

You "NEED" to make sure your baby is fed. You NEED to make sure you're healthy.

You can lose 10 in one week. Amputation of an arm will get you there. Not drinking any water or eating any food will get you there. Beyond that, NOTHING you can do that is HEALTHY will work.
