Crosley turntable from USA has inadvertently been plugged into UK mains at 220 volts without a converter when only designed for 110 volts(USA) It won't now switch on. Can it be repaired?

You may be lucky if the turntable has an internal fuse to protect the power supply.

Hopefully, this may have blown quickly enough to protect the power supply, so all it will need is a new fuse (from a good electrical hardware shop, Maplins, computer shop etc).

Otherwise, the power suply will probably be dead and possibly more of the electronics. Then it may not be worth investigating further.

I'm not sure how much electronics are in the turntable but if you didn't smell burning or see smoke from the motor, then it probably has blown a fuse.

If there is no fuse or circuit breaker, then you would probably be better off financially to purchase a new one than to try and fix the current one.
