Regardless of what wax companies tell you...wax does not last long...sunlight tears it right up...a good cleaner wax takes oxidized paint off exposing a tougher, less porous and slicker paint surface...wash the car first...cleaner wax every 3 months will keep an outdoor car looking good....2 coats of wax is pointless ...wax only goes on so thick the second coat just smears around the soft first coat...end result...same thickness...a car wax engineer told me this years ago

After waxing your car, and if you wash it, beads of water form on the paint surface. You can clearly see it. When it decreses as u wash more and with time, or when it doesnt form anymore, then its time to wax your car.
I have used wax products saying that they last 6 months etc etc. But they didnt, i had to apply after a couple of months again, as the beads were not forming.

Once every 2 months give it about 2 coats of wax. That should do it.

Depends on where you keep it most of the time. On an average it is good to get it done at least every 6 months. Choose your wax carefully.
In India TurboWax and OrangeCare are good brands and they are both dust unfriendly as well as fire retardant.

Wax it once and then park it in a garage. If you never drive it again the wax will last and last.
