i have a computer question? can someone tell what the problem is when i click on a tab and it opens another box comes up and says that i have incountered a problem and need to close and i have to shut down the internet and start it again can someone help me with this prblem thanks.

Could be any number of things. Update all your software and get a good anti-virus software and clean your computer. Also, make sure that you are using a better connection than dial-up. Dial-up connections are prone to dropping your connection frequently in some areas.

I encounter this problem at times and I can only assume I have tried to do something against my PC's settings.
These generic messages, like "you have made an illegal ... and your programs will be shutdown..." are the best the computer can issue without thoroughly examining our settings for privacy, cookies, content, etc.
You may have opted not to accept cookies, or your security may be set too high -- who knows? Does it happen consistently, or only on particular sites?

Sounds like you have ie7, I know of no way to fix this I have tried. Just download firefox browser and use it.

You update your explorer or the browser you are using.And before doing that check it with any antivirus you are having
